How we write.
Who writes the journal, how it is checked, and how it is kept.
The journal comes from the people who compose the journeys. What we know of the lodges and the roads and the seasons comes from the guests we place in them each year and from our own time in the country. Where a piece draws on someone else's account it says so.
Every piece is checked against what we sell. A lodge or a road or a season is on these pages because we would put a guest there. Nothing is paid for and nothing is sponsored.
Every fact has a source. Where a piece leans on Michelin or the Department of Conservation or Immigration New Zealand or the lodge itself the source sits at the foot of the piece. Where it is our opinion it says so.
The pieces are kept. Each carries the date it was written and the date it was last revised. A piece that has gone out of date is corrected or taken down.
We write in New Zealand English with the macrons the language carries.
